@JeepCares I'm disappointed because this is a new vehicle. The rivnut was faulty and the way it is designed you have to replace the radiator support. As many of you mentioned earlier there are several ways to repair the rivnut, having said that as an owner of a new vehicle I expect Chrysler to investigate and address the issue and replace the whole part if necessary. Others may experience the similar issue in the future. I’m going to contact Chrysler tomorrow or Tuesday, I'll keep you posted.

I would take the remaining bolts out, remove the light, even if you have to cut the bolt off, drill it out replace the threaded part with a rivnut

I'm still waiting to hear from Jeep Customer Care, that's probably what I will end up doing! It is actually a Jack nut

That was just a suggestion in the event that you could not get warranty coverage. Personally, I would have fixed it and finished my installation, if I did take it to the dealer, it probably would have been repaired and taken care of. That is how a good dealer does it

@JeepCares I just received a call from Jeep customer care, they said it's my fault because I didn't go to dealership to replace the halogen headlight bulbs. I told them the rivnut was already spinning but they didn't believe me ...

I think I would find myself a dealer that values their customers, I’ve been dealing with these guys for 30 years

very disappointed with Chrysler customer care team @Chrysler-Factory-Warranty @JeepCares
Ashr...I agree that you've been wronged here and I, too, would be pretty torqued off. That said, how far do you want to fight it and still have the result be worth the effort? At this point, I guess I'd pursue some of the fix options passed here, put it back together and forget all about it. As long as it holds the light correctly and allows adjustment, once it's back together you shouldn't notice it ever again...

Life's too short...don't waste another moment fightin' these folks...just remember how you were treated by FCA and this dealer and spend your hard earned $$$ elsewhere next time.

Enjoy your family and have a Merry Christmas!
