No just a bed mat on top to keep the sliding of material down.

I put a Smartliner in my 2021 Gladiator without the factory spray in. My brand new 2025 has a spray in, but now that you mention it, I can see adding a mat over that.
I'm gonna tag @ShadowsPapa because if anyone in this group deserves a win recently, it's Bill. Plus he always has a well thought out opinion. As for his prior comment about pros and cons: What I did in the 2021 with the tonneau cover is I would put a long piece of carboard in if I *wanted* stuff to slide. Like I had a milk crate full of various straps and tiedowns in there, and I would keep a strip of carboard so I could shove it up to the front of the bed. I also tied a length of paracord to the crate and the tiedown loop at the rear corner of the bed so I could pull it back to the tailgate without having to open the cover.
Wow, that’s really such a clever idea! The tools needed are simple, but it definitely solves a lot of headaches and messes. Thanks for sharing this, and big thanks to Bill @ShadowsPapa for the idea! Do you guys mind if I share this trick on the forum or social media? Whoever came up with this idea is a genius!

Sure, go right ahead. Just seemed like common sense to me.

I have a Rhino + Bedrug. The Bedrug is full length from the top of the ned all the to the end of the tailgate. Makes sweeping it out a breeze.

Ive always put a 3/4" plywood on top and a cardboard on top of that for sliding certain things. I ve had both drop in on 2 of my trucks back in the day and the last 2 trucks i had spray-in. That ply takes a beating when i start dropping in cinder blocks or interlocks.

I've had both and I will say the absolute winner is the spray in liner and a thick mat. Liner will protect the bed and the mat will stop the sliding and dents caused by heavy objects.

I have had the factory applied spray-in bed liner. I didnt want it, but the dealer made me a great deal on the JT, and ya cant take it off, so I learned to like it. Its durable. Rough as it should be.
My last truck, an '04 GMC SIERRA, I removed the drop in bed liner because of the rust issues I have seen on older trucks. I added a black tape to all the ribs of the floor. Only to the ribs...It looked great on the painted bed. Only had to replace one when I hauled a heavy metal box that scraped it up. I cant remember the brand or name of the tape, but it was made for truck beds, ladders, ramps, industrial use. Heavy/thick, rough, vinyl but rubbery. It may not be made anymore, I haven't seen it in a long time...only found it at Pep Boys. It would have looked good on my red JT bed!
I forgot to add: I used plywood when hauling something like cinderblocks, bricks, rocks or gravel.
Once at a construction site, I was given a load of bricks. Placed in the bed by forklift. No plywood around, but no damage to this tape when I got home.

I have not yet gotten to the mats for the cab..... (currently have MOPAR mats in both of our Jeeps - could have saved some $$ on my wife's new one had I known about this, but oh, well)
Not having installed the cabin mats - can't comment other than I see the rear is one piece instead of MOPAR's 2 piece, and that I like already.

I did install the bed mat today - I created a post on that.
I have one thing to try to figure out, otherwise, it's thumbs-up so far.
