This may be a dumb question but here we go.

I’ve been noticing a clunk coming from what sounds to be my drivers side front corner. Only happens occasionally, in fact it could quite easily be my winch hook hitting my bumper.
Well I went to test my theory and found a place close by to flex out the suspension. Noticed that my springs bow out quite a lot.
Normal? This wasn’t fully flexed out

You need coil correction pads, that's a lot of bow.

It will always bow some under flex but assuming the 2nd picture isn't flexing, it shouldn't be blowing. It could also be your axle isn't centered but from the pictures it looks pretty close.

Should have said, both pictures are flexed. Just tried getting pictures from a different angle

Take a shot unflexed, you can still use coil correction pads to take out some of that bow as it still seems excessive even flexed

Did you change out any of the control arms? The only time mine ever did anything like that was during a lift kit install when one of the UCAs was just completely not attached.

I wanna say the kit came with lower control arms that were swapped out

Hmm, I'm no suspension mechanic, but that sounds like it may be the issue. A longer LCA would push the lower part of your axle forward and essentially rotate your axle back a bit, making the lower spring mounting surface unparallel from the upper portion.

Excuse my masterful Paint skills, but maybe this will help explain what I mean:

If this really is the issue, it would just be a matter of getting the right length of UCAs to correct the caster angle.

Get metalcloak coil correction pads, that will take the bow out at ride height and reduce the flexed bow. Unless your lcas are way off they wouldn't be causing that much bowing.
