mine squeaked as soon as id start rolling from a stop. Took them to the dealer and they said it was rust on the rotors in the morning.Squeak, squeak... anyone have squeaky brakes? i believe it’s the passenger rear and it seems to happen only when the truck’s cold.
thx a lot bud! I’ll check it out and if needed will give ya a shout!!mine squeaked as soon as id start rolling from a stop. Took them to the dealer and they said it was rust on the rotors in the morning.
Then i got video of it happening while rolling at ideal speed after driving for 3 hours...i took it back for warranty eval and told them I think the rotors are warped and/or theres an issue with the pistons on the calipers. dealer says they’re unsure why it’s happening but are going replace all four rotors, all pads, and my break lines, under the warranty.
btw breaks are only covered for I think 12k miles by jeep...which i didn’t know. I made the case my truck is a max tow that hasnt towed, or even gone off road. And if there is an issue with the rotors alreadt (33k miles) i fear for the safety of my family when i do tow since sounds like this can be indicative of a larger issue. I told them id hate for my breaks to fail under load while towing.
the video is too long to post but if you want pm me your phone number and ill text it to you. Just incase your having the same issue i was.

Yup, I’ve noticed this braking in the morning when temps are like they are today, around 12 degrees etc. Wife’s car does the same. After braking at a light or two, I don’t hear it any longer.Squeak, squeak... anyone have squeaky brakes? i believe it’s the passenger rear and it seems to happen only when the truck’s cold.
