Stinger Heigh10 issues

I know a lot of you guys run them. I just installed mine. Anyone had issues with the rear view mirror and/or steering wheel controls not working? I'v been talking to tech support but not getting anywhere. I've checked every connection multiple times, updated the firmware, etc.

I'm so frustrated. It was 48 yesterday so I was able to install it. Today it's 28 and snowing and I'm out trying to troubleshoot it.

I installed one in my wife’s JLU last winter. It intermittently has the steering controls not work and it’s frustrating. I keep meaning to reach out to them but always forget. That has been our only issue since installing it.

I just finished up my install as well and steering wheel controls don’t work. Tried to assign them in settings, says “press any key,” I press a button but remains unassigned. I also have the check engine light on now. I have the Tazer mini installed so don’t know if there are issues with that. Firmware on mine is from Feb of 2021 so I’ll update but not hopeful.

let me know if you figure something out....hope it’s not the PAC module, I don’t want to take the dash apart again!

I got my steering wheel controls to work. The directions show it plugging into a black plug. It's wrong. I had to plug it into a red one. That fixed it.

I replaced the hdmi for the reverse cam today. It worked for a few minutes but I had to go back into the dash to fix an RCA so when I opened it up, it quit working again.

These things are a nightmare to fit into the dash.

Thanks bro, I chatted with Stinger Support this morning and they said the same thing. WTF! Last thing I feel like doing is pulling all of that out again!

Glad you got it sorted out. Stinger wants me to open up the camera module and solder some wire or something. I said no. That's way beyond the scope of a brand new radio install. I'm guessing there is no warranty on it if that's their solution. It's about ready to be returned. I've had it with it already.

Thats insane! LOL....do they want you to mine the metal and make the soder as well?

Ya, pretty nuts. They are now sending me a new module. I really hope this fixes it. I've pulled it in and out of the dash 20+ times already. On a good note, putting it in the dash is pretty easy now.
