Stock Rubicon Shock and 3.5" lift

The shock that I want are back ordered for few months. Is it possible to use the stock Rubicon shocks with 3.5" lift until the shocks come in? I know there is an option for Shock extenders but not sure if it will go with a 3.5" lift and if it's even safe to do that.

you would be better to find some cheap monroe shocks that have the same full extended/compressed length as the the one used for a 3.5 lift

Thanks. I was able to get the shocks after all. So I should be able to move forward with the install.
