Struggling to make the choice between a Sunrider and a full Soft Top. I've checked out several threads and looked at pictures in posts.

But I would appreciate perspectives on why one is better than the other (I live on the East Coast, so frequent wet weather is a factor).

I have a Sunrider because I couldn't get a dual top group.
With that said I actively been looking for a full soft top and was able to pick one up from a person that bought a brand new hard top.
The price I paid for the full soft top was almost half of what the Sunrider cost me new.
I am very happy with having both the hard top for snow/rain season and the soft top for all other times of the California year.
My Sunrider is only 3 months old and will probably go up for sale.

I don't know how easy it is to close the full soft top, but I can open & close the Sunrider with one hand and stay seated. Nice for the pop-up rain shower.

Bought my 2020 with a hard top. Purchased the sun rider inside of a year of ownership. The kids complained why are only the front seats topless. Found a premium soft top on marketplace and 4 years later neither the hardtop nor sun rider have touched the Jeep since. Florida rains have been no big deal. Doesn’t open or close as fast as the Sun rider because you do have to get out of the seat. Add 5 seconds. Total open air experience is way better than the Sunrider could ever be. Don’t ever see a reason to buy a hardtop Jeep ever again.

My 2020 came with the factory hard top and soft top. I’ve owned Jeeps for over 30 years, and I have to say the soft top in my Gladiator is by far the easiest to open up. 2 levers, and fold it back, very fast and easy. just as simple to close it up. It takes just a little more time to remove the back window. Overall, I give it a high recommendation. I really enjoy full convertable driving when the weather is nice, but it’s quick and easy to button up when the weather changes. It is the quietest and most weather tight Jeep soft top I’ve ever experienced.

Do you want the whole cabin to be open or just the driver/passenger seat?

my son is always in tow so I want the whole top down as does he. It’s not as easy to put down like the sun rider but it is easy enough. I’ve popped it open and closed at a stop light a couple of times.

This is a big deal to me. I love my Sunrider. I love fresh air when I'm driving and even in mild SoCal winters, I often drive with it open. If it starts to rain, I reach back and close it.

Best soft top Bestop ever made. Easy off and on in 1 minute. Great open air w just the back window out. Ain’t never owned a hardtop in 6 wranglers. This Premium Soft-top is great.

Sunrider - great if you get one that FITS properly.

Nice enough - depends on how much you want open at a time. Since it attaches at the rear of the opening created when the freedom panels are removed, you lose a small bit of the rear of the opening, but the front seats get full exposure. Back doesn't really get any.

This is what I want. Do you have any links for this?
