I have made it 60 years on this earth and have never owned anything with a T-Slot rail. I have a Gladiator on order. It will have trail rails. I am planning to add the BAK Revolver X-4. It has T-Slot rails. The new Yakima cross bars (and others) have T-Slots. Vector makes a dash mounting system with (you guessed it) T-Slots. I have searched this forum and the web trying to learn more about these things, but have found little. Maybe my search terms are off. What I am trying to find out is whether there is a standard size for these things such that accessories will go from rail to rail. Or, am I going to have to get separate hardware for each? Ram Mounts refers to a “standard“ T-Slot adapter on their web site, but did not define what it was. If I have a searchlight that has a ram “standard” adapter on it, will it fit in all of these rails? Common sense would say there should be a standard. The profit motives of the companies involved suggest they will work as hard as they can to make you come back to them for hardware that fits. Anybody have any insight on the matter or links to good sources of hardware, like tie downs and such?
