Anyone ever take your dogs with you offroading? Thinking about about heading out to Hidden Falls this weekend and was going to let my two German Shepherds tag along.

Yes, a lot! Our Chug is all about the outdoors. YMMV based on your dog so keep that in mind...

I do almost all the time now. Granted I got him as a pup so this is all normal for him.

Looks like I'll give it a go. They're used to car rides, now bumpy rides will be a first.

I took both of my German Shepherds in my 2013 Wrangler and they loved it!

They really weren't fans of it. One looked completely indifferent to it and the other was completely miserable and ended up throwing up towards the end.

My rottie loved offroading. He learned not to jump out of moving jeeps when he did a face plant jumping out to chase a deer. All my dogs love to travel.

Our dogs go with us everywhere so they are used to it. Our small one would get sick once in awhile but not anymore

I have a 2 year old Shepherd mix that I've taken twice. She loves car rides in general. Never been sick. She likes most of the "off-road". Fine bouncing a round seeing nature and meeting all kinds of people on the trail. She gets really scared during "wheeling" and anything extremely downhill. She has a harness but isn't held tight. I think she gets freaked out because there's no footing and there's no dog equivalent of an oh-$hit bar.

Seems like with anything, you may just need to try it and be prepared for anything. Hope your pup loves it!

They love going for rides, just not where the blacktop ends. They get super excited to go for normal rides. Even more so if they can hang their heads out the window.
