So I’ve got the typical overland set up with rack and RTT however I like to try out different ideas. I keep coming across the softopper soft shell and saw they also offer a tent attachment for it to extend the back long enough to extend out to the end of the tailgate when down and give tall...
I've been looking at this route more and more, how easy/hard is it to attach the add-on tent? Also do you have any more details on your bed storage set up, I saw a brief picture in another thread but I'm really curious to see more of it. Thanks!
Ok, so let's have this discussion. Here's my friend's Ranger: Matt's Ranger for Driving Line
It was "stock" and now it's probably an $80K Ranger to get it to a point he feels is off road worthy, and yes we had a good conversation about it.
Just because it's right for the moment now does not...
Not a complete list but I normally have available the following:
Full socket sets in 1/4", 3/4", and 1/2" drive normal and deep
Multiple adjustable wrenches but at least a small, medium, and large
3/4" and 1/2" breaker bar
Impact driver
mallets hard and soft face
full screwdriver set
are you talking about re-using the factory skid? If so I wouldn’t if it’s the plastic one, however I do have a stock steel skid from a rubicon and after looking at it I think with some minor cutting it could be used with the Rugged Ridge bumper.
I've had mine tilted with no issues from local police so realistically you could run a Prolink and have it angled without being harassed. Then again I've seen the police here not bat an eye with guys running their license plates on the down angle of skid plates, so there is that...
I currently have one on my set up right now, It's good if you're using a traditional hook or the the flatlink from Factor 55, will not work with the Prolink unless you leave it out. Install was super easy as it goes on at the same time as the fairlead, adjust the side nuts for desired tightness.
Got my Jeep back yesterday afternoon, so far there’s a slightly firmer feel in the steering and I’m not having to pull to the right like I was before. Worth getting the TSB done.
Front drive shaft is easy J.E. Reel or Adams, unless you're running 40"+ tires the 1310 will be sufficient. If I remember correctly J.E. Reel supplies Adams with the raw components so there is that too.
I have the Teraflex set on mine with a 1.5" leveling kit. They sit slightly high but nothing that's compromised my ride comfort. They do need to be greased which I know a lot of people forego doing and normally leads to the biggest complaint that the bushings go. 2+2=4, just saying... Overall...
My parents wound up using the Lemon Law here in Texas several years ago on a Grand Cherokee they had issues with. In their case it was sent to an arbitrator who then reviewed the case and ruled in favor of a full buy back by the dealer. Make sure to have everything documented as the "they told...
