Hello all!

Not sure if such a thread exists but I wanted to get a cohesive collection of "Must Have" items for the Gladiator.

This isn't a mod list but more along the lines of emergency or daily use things.

For example: Jumper Cables, Tow Strap, First Aid Kit, Foil Blanket, Lighter, Small tool kit? etc etc.

What are you essentials? I want to keep this focused on regular use not aimed at trail riding or crawling but more of what a daily driver might see. If possible lets try to avoid $100+ "essentials" unless it really is something major. Ideally people should be able to get these supplies together with relatively minimal expense.

List so far:
Jumper Cables
Tow Strap
First Aid Kit
Foil Blanket
Lighter
Spare Fuses
Spare Light Bulbs
Small socket kit (I'd recommend 1/4" drive so you can use the ratchet included in Jeep Kit)
Foldable Shovel
Flashlight
Hand Sanitizer
Paper Towel/ Rags

Add a small fire extinguisher, spare bulbs & fuses to your list, and you’ve pretty much got it covered.
It also depends on where you live, and where you’ll be driving.
For instance, in Anchorage you’ll want a set of chains, whereas that’d be stupid in Miami.

Why do you need all this if you are not going on trails?
KISS!
Jumper cables...maybe.
Tow strap..yes!
First Aid Kit.
Maybe a small foldable shovel

Being up north, space blanket ... maybe.

The rest of the crap is just taking up room. Put it in a different bag for when you decide to go on trails.

I'm all about the KISS method, that being said I'm currently not hauling a ton of stuff but having a bag for the more "extreme" supplies may be better like the Fire Extinguisher.

All things considered most of the stuff is small and compact enough to fit in one small bin or bag. I still drive around with my free VW emergency Roadside bag as it has cables, gloves, caution cones, first aid supplies and a space blanket.

My father always says to keep a lighter and a candle in every car. You'd be amazed at how much heat comes off.

I keep some paracord and ratchet straps in case I need to secure anything in the bed.

Something I picked up from my wife that I've used way more than I thought was a decent pair of scissors. I like a good pocket knife but a pair of fiskers works great. Also an extra pair of sunglasses. I am basically blind in direct sunlight without them.

Oh one last thing - sunscreen.

Toilet paper... can't say how important it is to have toilet paper just in case.
