$4,000/year for 2.5 acres, our 1,000 sq ft house and my shop (which is more square feet than our house)Property taxes in NM are dirt cheap. We pay around $1,700 a year for our house, guest cabin and two 6 acre lots we purchased adjacent to our main house lot. 18 acres total.
I pay more than twice that for a 1400 sq/ft house on 1/6th of an acre in Idaho lol.Property taxes in NM are dirt cheap. Last year I found out that when I turn 65 (11 years from now) I have another pension kicking in (very small) from when I worked for Hewlett Packard. It was a nice surprise.

Not too bad. It's a big house. Ours is a custom cabin a little over 1,100 Sq. Ft., with a detached 400 Sq. Ft. Guest cabin. Out here the construction cost per Sq. Ft. is pretty steep approaching $350 average per Sq Ft.$2,700 for a brick ranch. 2,000 sq ft main floor. 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom. 2,000 sq ft full finished basement with garage on corner lot. 100ft x 120ft.
I forgot to mention the two detached garages. One is 480 Sq ft and the other my shop, 600 Sq ft.Ouch!! That's a lot. Sorry.
That's pretty steep. Must be in a very nice neighborhood.I pay more than twice that for a 1400 sq/ft house on 1/6th of an acre in Idaho lol.
Not really, crappy bungalow built in 1940. I have two 1980s apartment complexes within a block from me. Idaho is just really expensive. That's pretty steep. Must be in a very nice neighborhood.
