There is obviously a partisan bias towards anything from "China" as some people have been conditioned to consider that place the enemy.

The reality is a huge amount of stuff we use day to day is made in China and functions totally fine. No one cared until they were told to care.

More or less everything is made in China. Bought a Cannondale race bike (which was not cheap) some years ago and was slightly disappointed when I detected the "Made in China" sticker.

Nevertheless, I would not buy from TEMU ...

I don't do business with Temu but I do business with Aliexpress and I think that you will find that many of the big USA 4x4 accessory vendors sell the same stuff from the same factories in China for about double the price.

I have started use Aliexpress about a year ago and have to admit, it has beat my expectations for the most part. If I am buying something I know is China made to begin with, I rather order direct and cut out the middlemen here. Search function sucks but there is tricks around that. They will actually refund or work a customer service issue, but it can take a long time as it runs through the translation filters back and forth. Not for the impatient.

This is where I've been with this thread TBH.
My personal approach is, If you're shopping for deals on Amazon you have to admit it's likely from China ... so you might as well take a look at AliExpress and know what's a fair markup for the middleman and what assurance you get with Prime.
