Curious if anyone has run this kit, or if anyone knows enough about suspension and geometry to explain why this requires aftermarket wheels. I was ready to pull the trigger until I saw that. I'm already running 35's on the stock wheels, and don't really want to go aftermarket. This kit seemed like the ticket, until I saw that it requires 4.75'' backspace or wheel spacers. I'm not running wheel spacers now, and have no rubbing any point. I can't run spacers, since they will flag me at inspection time here in Pennsylvania.

Is this a requirement of all spacer lifts, or is there something about this kit? Does it really require that 4.75" backspace?

Def not all spacer lifts. I have most pieces of the AEV spacer lift on mine and I currently have a set of stock steelies on mine for winter (and passing PA inspections ?) with no problems. Looking at that kit, I can’t imagine what the issue would be.

It could be recommended because of the falcon shocks they recommend. Those may be mounted out board from stock and require more backspace.

I wonder if that's it? Honestly, I'd rather run shock extensions than those falcon shocks. I'm sure they're good, but I like the OE Fox's. I might have to go AEV just to be safe. Only thing is I have a gift card to 4wheelparts, and they don't carry AEV.
You may be on to something, although the falcon shocks themselves make no mention of requiring a certain backspace. But the kit itself, to my feeble mind, looks like it wouldn't rub more than stock, since it's the same thing only taller? Unless it's the shocks, I'm not seeing what I'm missing. I could understand if it said to run a certain tire size, you need a certain backspace.

How do you like the AEV? I see it's in stock over at Quadratec. But then I have to pay full price :(. I have a gift card to 4wheelparts, and they don't carry AEV.

It’s great. The Jeep really drove like stock after the the install. All the components were quality.
