The Evolution of Venom

Dropped off Venom at Illusion Audio & Detail Center in Malvern, PA for part 1 of the upgrade. Bill at Illusion will be installing the lights (still waiting on turn signals and tail lights), applying the decals (hood and tailgate) and doing the tint. Once we get back from vacation he'll be doing the remaining lights and the ceramic coating.

Just heard from Charlie at Woodchuck Customer Workshop. I ordered this a couple of weeks ago. It's ready and should be shipping out on Monday.

Picked up Venom from Illusions Audio late last night. It was raining so I held off on the lighting comparison picture. I'll do that tonight and post it tomorrow. We had to hold off on a few of the lights as they haven't arrived from Oracle yet. Also, the weather didn't cooperate so we held off on the decals, tint and ceramic coating. Those will get done when the lights arrive and we get back from a quick vacation down the shore.

What is this? Some sort of overlay to go on top of the existing grill? It’s not tall enough to be a replacement

It’s a wooden bed divider. It fits the slots where a 2x4 goes.

Very very cool.

I have a 2 x 8 that I did a terrible job of coating in bedliner that I use sometimes.
The Jeep grill is a great idea.

Had some time today so I decided to paint the front and rear tow hooks red. Since I'm going with the whole Venom theme, I figured I needed a splash of red somewhere. I went with Cherry Red because I wanted them to be bright.

The bed divider arrived this weekend while we were down the shore. I put it in this morning. Glad I went with black. It's super subtle and looks awesome!

So I was supposed to be done with the exterior and then my wife gave me an early birthday present. Actually, the UPS guy gave it to me. She was expecting it to be delivered while we were out of town this weekend and it came early. It was hard to ignore the giant Rugged Ridge logos all over the box. Either way I got to install my gift a few days early. Yay!
