I have known this family for quite a while now, and I have watched what were two scrappy little boys grow into fine strapping young men.
Word came yesterday that one of them has acquired a vintage Gladiator.
He's excited about getting started on the old truck and seeing what he can do with it.
They don't have a lot of money, but they have a great work ethic, and both boys are very skilled with their hands, have sharp minds, and a love for machinery. It'll be interesting and fun to watch the progress.
I wish they lived across the road, and not across the country. I'd love to help them.

Older sis likes the heavy steel and simplicity of days gone by as well.

The joys of being young and working on an older vehicle! When I did the same at their age my truck was the most beautiful vehicle I had ever seen, but to everyone else it was worn out and ugly. You learn a lot working on those old vehicles, especially with limited funds. Good times. I hope they feel the same joy, good luck to them!

This might be a crazy idea but is a GoFundMe a possibility to help these fellows along. I'll check it out and see if old truck restoration ius allowed. I was there once, and an extra few bucks would have come in handy.

I thought of it as well. I was also going to look and see what the nearest auto parts store to them was.
I just bought them a new dishwasher for last Christmas, but that was more for mom. LOL
