A little tick at start up is normal. I wouldn't start adding goop to start it.

I hear the Baxter oil filter thingamabob solves the start up tick.

If it keeps ticking and never stops - well you may have a problem that goop wont fix.

Anything you add, I’d imagine, eventually mixes with oil and drains down and you’d still have the same problem.
I simply start the truck and wait like 10-15 seconds then go. If the truck isn’t already warmed up.

I have the Baxter oil filter adapter on both my 3.6. the Baxter along with good oil filter has anti drain back vales helping reduce the filter housing and oil cooler from draining back to the oil pan. No more rattle rattle on start ups
