I made this spreadsheet for new tire selection on the Overland. I will do No rock crawling but will do some beach driving, trail riding, ranch and dirt roads for hunting and camping. 90% will be road commuting to and from work 55-60 miles a day. I am leaning towards 275/70/18 Wildpeaks based on weight and cost. Any opinions? Happy to make a larger sheet for more tires if anyone wants. Prices based on my local Discount Tire

You basically just described the purpose of H/T tires which are the stock Overlands. Any reason why you want to go A/T? That's a lot of road miles each day and H/Ts are going to feel great.

A/T are going to give you a bit more of that nice aggressive 'look', but at the cost of being a little bit louder with road noise. A/Ts can also have a shorter lifespan.

On an 18" wheel, if you really prefer A/T, I would stick to your 34" choices. Consider the demand to air down and have that cushion.

Stock Rubi is 8" of tire all the way around. Stock Overland is 7". But your 34" on 18" wheels get's you back to the 8" of tire all the way around. Better for airing down at least.

Here is another idea....How about selling your shoes all together and buying Rubi take offs? That way you get down to a 17" wheel which looks really nice with 33" A/Ts. You can probably accomplish this with almost no out of pocket cost.

Just my two cents.

I have always had AT tires. I can’t stand getting stuck and I have a few times. That 10% of the time I am off road I feel the AT is necessary. I know a lot of people pick up rubicon wheels but I do like the overland wheel. It would be a consideration though. More options in a 17 like some C load tires

is H/T a highway tire? No way a straight grove tire should go on a jeep

regardless, I wouldn't buy that option. You said 90% highway, the BFG tires are silent compared to most and are a great option and look good. I don't have first hand info on your other choices.

I have run BFG KO and KO2 on 3 different trucks and did like the. If I do go for Rubicon wheels I my see if I can get 315/70/17 KO2 in C load to fit on the Overland. Sure I will need a level kit for the front. I usually hit dirt or sand 1 weekend a month. But like I said just trails for camping or beach driving.

Nice. I did this one in early 2019 when researching what I was going to do. Of course it has no 18" sizes but will give you a decent comparison. (Mine is a Rubicon)

I am running Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 255-80-17E and love them. Great in dry, wet, snow, highway and rocky trails.
