I just purchased the Gator tri-fold tonneau cover. Within the instructions it says that if your truck has a bed cap liner that covers the metal bed wall flange, you will have to cut enough plastic liner so that all the clamps make solid contact. Anyone have to cut their liner for this purpose?

Nope. The plastic part extends MAYBE an eighth inch beyond the metal beneath it. Works just fine without cutting.

Thanks I am glad, I think cutting the liner would not be good.

Didn't have to cut mine either. Zero issues

I've got the Gator soft tri-fold. No cutting had to be done and it seals just find. I've had no complaints about it.
