Someone on a Facebook gladiator page thought about trying to for a Tonneau cover from a frontier or Tacoma. No update since. I am wondering if that is possible. I know they all have 5 foot beds. Also I know when I got rid of my 2014 ram 1500 and bought as f150 both with a short bed. The tonneau cover for the ram fit the Ford.

This is just an idea but something to consider. It would be a whole lot easier to order a cover for those trucks and fit it to the gladiator. I am just looking for a cloth tri fold or roll up cover. Nothing crazy.

Thanks

Going to spend between $40-60k on a brand new truck and then jury rig a tonneau cover designed for a different truck. Really MacGyver?

Not trying to jury rig anything. Just wondering if it would work. I had a Mopar ram 1500 cover for a short bed. When I got my f150 it worked without any issues.

Just seeing what my options. Will probably just wait to get the tri fold one from Mopar and call it a day.

@Gshaw34 , just messing with you.
I'm all for making what might not seem possible work. And $40-60k depending on model and options isn't chump change so if there is a way to save coin by making something designed for a different truck work than I'm all for it. Over the years of owning many Jeeps, I've found that Jeep owners are great innovators.

I knew you were messing with me. I am all for it. Trust me I get the whole making things work in Jeep. Bungie cords are always useful in a jk or jl soft top.

I got that one also but it doesn't fit perfectly on the corners. Kind of pisses me off when I look at it so looking to replace with a more optimal fit. It was obvious with Gator that this one was a universal cover.
