It is a real mystery is what it is. By the HIN, it was made my International Yacht Corp. in 1976, Helsen is the boat manufacture owned by International Yacht Corp.. Helsen made the HMS in 1976 and the first months of 77 from what we can put together from the few that exist. All but one are dated 76 with the one from 77. We do not know how many hulls were made but do not think the hull numbers are correct and think he was using the lower hull mold that has the HIN from another boat he made and added the pilothouse molded deck. The boat has an inner and outer fiberglass mold, meaning I have gel coat on my roof and floor. The vee birth has a marine head/porta potti, mine came with the porta potty options. Then there is the kitchen dining area with the walk way offset on one side of the keel bump making a long kitchen galley on the short side with a double burner, built in deep insulated cooler and then a sink with pump handle water. The dining side seats four and makes into a double birth. There is a brochure online that shows the boat being marketed as a Allmand 23 but mine clearly has Helsen sail logo and marks it as a Helsen 23. So some call theirs an Allmand, I think all are Helsen's because none are dated 77 except one, all others are dated 1976 and the Allmand brochure is dated 77. So far only sailed it Sunday, sailed nice. Still need to do some adjusting, tighten the back stay to give it more weather is number one. Love the wheel steering and more weight, no fighting the tiller like in my Potter. Oh and the head sail is not a genoa, more a yankee.
That’s a really cool boat seems like it checks all the boxes. I looked at a few online cool setup. Hard to believe they were able to fit all that into such a small package. Inboard diesel and outboard your ready to go anywhere. When I get a lot on a lake something like that would be ideal.

Backstay might help a little, but I imagine that it doesn’t point very well, it’s not a race boat and that extra tack or 2 will be pretty comfortable. With the 2 headsails I’ll bet it will reach pretty quick.

76 stingray. Built this one for my dad, was a fun build as I knew nothing of corvettes before hand
Previous owner did a number on it, hacked a lot of stuff up. Now she is running a 383 stroker dynod at 492hp, manual shift body on a TH350, 4.11 rear and ride tech coil overs

Kind of an off question here. So many of you have guns and I am really liking these lever action ones since I had a lever action BB gun as a kid. Honestly the Henry's and 1894 and 1895 Marlins look great but they are so expensive. What do you think about the 336? Are they is fun as everyone says? I primarily bow hunt so I don't really need a gun, but I did think it might be fun and maybe it would expand my hunting season. I don't even know if I should bother with ammo being as hard to find as it is.

Even the newer ones, except the new C8 run a mono leaf rear suspension! They are now a single composite leaf rather than a steel pack
Definitely weird realizing that the differential hangs by its cover lol

OK, what are the advantages and disadvantages that Chevy has gone with it for so many years and it looks like you converted to coil.

Most of the advantages were less parts, wasn’t a need for a rear sway bar with mono leafs, lighter because of the less parts and when they started using them up front as well they could run a lower hood line (didn’t have to have the wheel arches like the C3 to run a coil)
Coil overs are great to run as you can set ride height and tune a lot easier for suspension performance

You guys know i like to smoke meat. But i just got one of these little Ooni wood pellet / charcoal pizza ovens, and man oh man i like this thing. Highly recommend you grab one if you like pizza. And yes, that fresh fig and feta pizza with a honey drizzle was ridiculous

I know a few people with 336s and they all love them, though it depends on how you plan to use it. It's a great shooting gun and offers some advantages over the Winchester clones, mainly how it ejects. There has been a lot of praise for the 336 in terms of shooting and functionality. The current future is somewhat unknown with Remington going bankrupt and selling Marlin to Ruger. Production is just starting to resume now. They expect to start delivering in fall of 2021.

I'm in the market to buy a 336 my self as I need a smaller lighter gun for hunting. I"m looking at .30-30 for reduced recoil because my current Mag round is completely worthless in trees.
