Envious...............Found the same style red one at Walmart tonight and picked it up. Now I've got to find the exact same one to add to my growing collection. I have two of the "City Cruiser" Jeeps. When my father died, I was chosen to go through his garage - thanks, brothers LOL
Anyway, tucked away in a corner, covered up and behind other stuff were stacks of paper boxes - the type of boxes that reams of paper come in. What the heck?? I dug in and found the boxes were loaded with scale models of cars and trucks from the 20s forward. He was an antique and classic car fan, loved the old cars. I suspect, too, that being older and bored, these subscription things got to him and he got into a "model of the month" or something.
Lots of cool stuff in those boxes, but only two Jeeps and they were both the same. Looks like he doubled up on 3 or 4 of the cars in those boxes, but that's ok. My brothers both said he knew how much of a car nut I was so likely Dad knew I'd be the one going through the garage - they told me "take them".
The AMCs - other sources. I've got 3 that are Christmas ornaments, and I think another in a pack like these as well.
The Gladiator was the only one I've ever seen in our area, it was at an antique mall and I grabbed it since I haven't yet found an Overland and figured it was likely the only one I'd ever see for sale in Iowa.
Thanks, yeah. Around Des Moines, it's hard to find much of anything. Toys or otherwise.
Blue ideal (because that's what I've had), but one like the red or snazzberry would be good close 2nds.
