I have about 5900 miles on my Mojave and was doing my lift and found what looks like a trans leak. It looks like it comes from the bolt on the cooler. I tried to see if it needed to be snugged up but got nothing.

Has anyone ever had this issue? I know the hose was a common issue buts that’s dry. Just the bottom of the cooler dripping onto the pan.

I just had this repaired. It was the trans heater/cooler you posted the image of. Dealer simply just replaced the cooler under warranty. Mine had 30000 on it.

I wasn’t aware this was an issue. Good to know.

Not a common issue, just so happens a couple of people talking about a transmission leak had it - doesn't make it common.
If two people in a forum have a radiator hose go bad or leak does that make it a common issue?

The axle leak is an issue.

Well, if they are the only two people in the forum, then maybe...???

Are you sure it's a trans leak and not the oil filter housing?

I had that go bad in my Grand Cherokee Ltd. 3.6L and once it was replaced (it had cracked all by it's lonesome) the leak disappeared. My mechanic has stated that this is one of the most common leaks in the 3.6L power trains and he's replaced quite a few f them. They are plastic but, (someone chime in here with the proper name) there is an aftermarket replacement made from aluminum.

Oil leaks into the valley in the top end and drips down in strange places making it look like the leak is somewhere else.

Dorman makes the aluminum version. I recently put it in my 14 JKU

I have taken my 2020 in 3 times for this and they claim the repair prior was not done properly and they easily pinch the o-ring. This time, now the 4th, I was told that because of my off-roading the heater is cracked and it needs to be replaced. They claim the fins are dirty and it's struggling to do it's job.

I don't buy it but they are fixing it under warranty for the last time. Truck has 85K miles on it.
