Transitioned from 2019 JLUR to a new 2021 JTRD

Went in for service and was offered ridiculous money for the JLUR. I really didn’t want to, but it was a deal I couldn’t pass up. Found a nicely spec’d JTRD in Rockville MD and a week later here we are today.

Dropped her off on the 20th of December for some minor surgery and picked her up yesterday with a freshly installed 3.5” Clayton Offroad lift on 37” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss wrapped around some Black Rhino beadlocks.

Below is a start of needed items to install over the winter to be ready for spring outings.

• Winch
• Air compressor mount
• Front driveshaft
• Belly armor

Adding to the list of desired modifications following today’s wheeling trip.

• Apex Steering Boost Kit or PSC. Turning the 37s with the heavy diesel proved a challenge.
• RCV Front axles and chromoly rear.

Will add the diesel’s torque made everything just a little easier.
