Interesting. I agree with the purpose but not the implementation. It would be great to be able to pump out all or nearly all of the old fluid on one go and refill 100% with fresh versus changing the fluid two or three times and still being only 75% fresh. But I think it would be more cost effective and simpler to have a port (or set of ports) to which you can attach an external pump than to have every transmission contain an internal electrical auxiliary pump just to drain the fluid.

Actually, I recall automatics used to have a drain plug on the torque converter. That was where most of the oil was hiding that didn't drain from the pan. How about we go back to having one of those. Problem solved with a low-tech drain plug.
