Do these fine ladies and gentlemen work on Sundays? With the news of them going back to work I’m anxiously awaiting updates regarding my soon to be built JT! Just curious! :)

The company can force them the work Saturday but not Sunday Sunday is all volunteer and if they get enough people they'll work the line or if the company calls for emergency which is rare they can force a sunday

Sunday is also usually automatic double time regardless.

At my work (aviation), there is a UAW local that most of the workers try to sandbag during the week to get at least Saturday overtime (1.5X pay) and possible Sunday overtime but the company usually pushes back on Sunday as a work day. Sundays are usually the down day for facilities and factory maintenance to get done.

The holy grail is getting to work on a paid holiday, then it is 3X pay. We have a week and half factory shut down at Christmas and New Years that is a paid holiday period deferred from other holidays during the year. Getting to work that period is major bank.

Has anyone seen any sort of confirmation that they are currently back up and running while they review and vote?

When are they set to officially vote on the contract?

I haven’t seen anything definitive. But the union leader did tell everyone to go back to work. So I assume they’re back?

I saw that too and was assuming the same, but can't seem to find anything that confirms it. I was optimistically hoping mine would flip to production/build soon lol! That said, I suppose there's pros and cons there, part of me doesn't want to have a build too soon after the strike is over....I'm sure not all will be happy about the outcome and may not put their best effort in when they first return....

Right, they are supposed to take a vote sometime this week. In the interim, my interpretation of all the articles was that they all (at Ford, Stellantis, and GM) were to leave the picket line and "return to work" while the voting goes on over the next few days. That said, there doesn't seem to be much out there to confirm that these sites have actually resumed operation....

Kind of a moot point I suppose, I mean even if they did fire things back up for a handful of days, if they vote no, a few days of production won't really have much of any impact for most customers (including me) I just want my truck LOL :)

I emailed my dealer to see if he had any insight or news, but haven't heard anything back yet...

Ford is starting voting this Wednesday I believe and is going to take place at different local unions or a week to 2 week period. First bath should be done by Thursday as it’s only open for 24 hours.

Stellantis will probably be about a week behind that so maybe it will be done by the third week of November.

My dealer stopped responding to me about my shocks. I've been waiting since January.

Thats longer than I was thinking it would take. I thought by the end of this week they would have the yay or nay. Guess good in the sense that it may give some of us some hope to get our orders fulfilled (for new vehicles and/or parts)

Edit: Just saw this article, guess you're spot on!

UAW-Ford ratification vote on tentative deal may run until mid-November (yahoo.com)

Thursday, November 2nd, they will vote on whether to send the agreement to the membership. This will pass no problem.

Then they’ll review the contract with everyone via a Facebook live meeting I believe and I guess come up with the days and times the local unions will vote.

anyone know what the vote needs to pass by? Just curious. Simple Majority?
