I have a used but in great working condition Uconnect 8.4 out of a Jeep Wrangler 2020. I bought it and installed it in my 2021 Gladiator and worked great. Does not have “off road pages” unless you get the tazer to add. Asking 900.00 but open to offers and I will ship. Comes with everything in pictures. I may be interested, I trying to get information on how to swap it to my 2022 and have it operating properly. There is something the dealer has to do to "assign" it to you VIN or something....?

My 21 came with the 7” screen. When I swapped this in all I needed was the code (4 digits) and I also bought a tazer to open up the cargo camera. I couldn’t do updates to the stereo but everything worked even the NAV and off road pages worked with the Tazer also. I have the tazer also that I’m going to sell separate.

Where does that code come from, and how do you put it in to make the thing work. I have the mini-tazer already for the JT

When you install it it will ask for the security code.

You don’t need anything other the the u lock code to upgrade to the 8.4. Everything should work fine. The vin reassignment comes to if you are trying to get things like the guardian remote start going. Outside of that off-road pagers and everything else should work fine.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I’m looking into upgrading to an 8.4 and everything I’ve seen so far says a 2020 8.4 will not work in a 2021 but you had no issues?

I had zero issues! Plug and play only thing I had to get the tazer for was for the off road pages.
