I have been having random issues with my USB connection working related to Android Auto. I replaced my phone, cables, and even tried the rear USB C ports.
Issue: Random non-working Android Auto when connecting at vehicle startup or when not previously connected. Intermitent and difficult to predictably reproduce.
Resolution: Media Hub was non functional, validated when the dealership attempted a software update. Replaced the media hub and BAM, all good!
