i upgraded my 5" uconnect media unit (UAA) to a 7" uconnect media unit (UAG) and my usb ports stopped working, they won't charge my phone and android auto doesn't work. when i switch back to the UAA unit the ports begin working again, I can charge my phone and play media from the usb connection. Initially i thought it was a bad usb port on the back of the UAG unit so i began some trouble shooting with no media unit installed i turned the vehicle to acc and the usb ports began charging my phone once again, so i connected the usb port to the back of the UAG unit and the usb ports were still charging my phone, however once i connected the large wire harness in the center of the unit my usb ports shut off and no longer worked. when i tried this with the UAA media unit the usb ports remained working throughout. I have tried pulling and reinserting all the fuses associated with the radio or usb ports and have had no luck. I'm thinking this is a defective unit, but im wondering if anyone here has experienced a similar issue or may know something that i am missing. From my understanding the upgrade should be a simple plug-and-play swap. Am i missing something?
