Center Console USB Ports Charge - No Android Auto or USB Media

I switched from a 5.5" to a 8.4" Radio. I just discovered the USB Port in the center console, I didn't realize the USB port was there when I had the 5.5" in.
I tried plugging the phone in with a USB cord to see if Android Auto worked from that port, it does not. It works fine from the dash USB port.
Then I tried to put a flash drive in the center console port and it did not see it. That same flash drive works fine in the dash USB port. The center console USB port does charge my phone and when I plug in the phone, the phone asks if I want to allow access to the phone and I say yes.
Do I have to change any settings with JScan to get the USB port to work for Android Auto and a flash drive?

It's been my experience that it is charge/power only. Sorry not sure about any settings to change it. I have an 8.4 from the factory.

The one on the back of the console is power only. The one inside the console should be able to pick up android auto/car play/flash drives. It's USB2 in the source menu. Not sure if something needs switched on though, my 8.4 was factory.

The one inside my console is working as charge only. I didn't even realize there were USB ports on the back...

Each one is different, depending on the packages ordered and the head unit installed at the factory. My Overland has four USB ports on the back of the console, two are power only and two connect to the head unit. The one inside the console is where my cable connects for the phone and Android Auto.

I checked my Gladiator doesn't have any usb ports in the back. Just the ones in the dash and one inside the center console. I wonder if it it a different harness to get the one inside the center console to work for Android Auto... I tried looking one the parts diagram, but it is to hard to tell.

Being you said you swapped the radio out are you sure cables all got plugged back in ? Maybe missed one ?

The port inside my center console charges and runs android auto. Have the 7" screen, 2021 willys. "Technology group" package maybe that matters?

All cables are plugged in. I think there are different harnesses that can go from the dash to the center console. I will have to take it apart and see if there is a part number on the harness.

I checked my friends 2021 Gladiator with the 7" screen. His USB inside his center console works for Android Auto. He does not have any USB ports on the back of the console.
So I am wondering if there is a different harness from the dash to the inside of the center console that is for Android Auto.
