Howdy, I suddenly lost power/connection for all three USB ports going to my 8.4in radio.
I disconnected the battery for long periods multiple times to the point I had to re-setup themes on the radio, I manually reset settings, waited multiple days for it to fix itself, and the ports are still dead. (The USB C&A by the HVAC controls, and the center console USB A.)
I checked fuse 11 or whatever one it is and it is good. I reseated all the connections multiple times.
I also used a spare 7in uconnect and it worked fine for the USB ports.
Which tells me it is something specific to the 8.4in radio and not fuse or port related.
Has anyone had this issue and been able to fix it? I see a lot of posts about USB port issues but nothing like my specific situation.
Is there any third party repair companies I can ship this 8.4in off to for board level repair?
It’s a 2020 if that matters, bad radio part number 68295725AI
