Uconnect4 7" has no XM radio .

When i was doing research to buy my 2023 Sport Gladiator , i went to the build a Jeep website and under the entrainment section it said the Uconnect4 7" radio had XM as part of the radio , great . So when i took delivery and after signing papers about the XM service i find it did not have XM radio installed which i consider false and misleading information by Jeep . I had mentioned to the salesman that i had a lifetime subscription to XM and that it was important to have it , of course he did not say anything . Anybody else get hit with this surprise ?

Have to read the fine print on the website. Says "available" with XM. You have to get the Technology Group package to get the XM radio.

If you have the basic cluster and no passive entry door locks, you will not get the XM radio.

You are correct in that it says "available" but i still contend it is misleading . What do passive entry door locks have to do with XM radio ?

Because it is part of the Technology Package with the other options determine how the vehicle wire harness are configured. Do not get the Technology Package, do not get the wiring setup for XM that uses a dual use XM and GPS antenna.

I agree, "available" can be misleading but it can also have dual meaning in that it is a selection rather than something necessarily static. You are not the first person who has ordered/bought a Sport and been surprised in not getting something because the Technology Package was not selected. At the end of the day, Jeep built the truck how it was ordered by whomever. Your salesman did you dirty more than Jeep corporate did.

FWIW, it is technically doable to install the XM/GPS antenna and harness on your own and sell/swap your radio for a 7" XM capable radio.

Hi folks! Newbie here. We just got our first jeep ever, a 2023 Gladiator Sport. I'm having the same issue the OP had and figured I'd jump in here instead of starting a new thread. I'm almost positive I have the XM Antenna above my speakers...so the car seems equipped. My cluster also appears to be reconfigurable and is color....but I DON'T have auto climate control. It seems to have many of the other upgrades/packages, but I don't see the Technology package. My "radio" choices are AM/FM and no Satellite. What I'm wondering is if anybody has figured out a way to "turn on" the XM in the radio. I'm kind of guessing it must be just a configuration in the radio, but maybe I'm wrong. Just trying to see if anyone has figured this out.

I know many people mention the option of using the XM app, but I'm old school and like it right in the car. Plus, all the dealer info pretty much said it had XM. Assuming that will be a losing battle, I want to see if there are any other options like reconfiguring the radio, software update, etc. Thanks so much! Looking forward to learning a ton on this board and getting many tips to help enjoy our jeep!

If it really doesn't have SiruisXM, you can add the antenna but you'll also need the unit that has it on it. You can do a VIN lookup for a window sticker to double check.

There is no software push to make yours a XM capable radio. You need to buy one that is already XM capable as there will already be a XM radio ID setup to it.

Hey guys...Thanks alot! I guess I just have to accept that it doesn't have XM. What' strange is that my window sticker says it does as does the advertisement on the dealer website when I got it. That said, the Window sticker also has a line at the end that says "Connected Services Delete Credit"...which in my research on this the last few days "may" mean its a delete of the XM option....but some think it was just a delete of the XM Guardian. My sales guy gave me the service people to speak with so I'll make the call and see what they say. I do tend to think you are right, but worth the try. I'll advise the outcome just so it's here for others. Thanks!!!
