I was able to get around 22mpg on a long road trip recently but I'm always around 19mpg mixed driving normally.

You may have something there. Just refilled tank day prior. I did not think it was changed yet though.Maybe the change from the winter blend fuel? I always get 2mpg worse in the winter.
I am on 35s and 3.6 gas. It held 30-32 for about 4 miles till a small incline. Couple days in a row in same spot. Beats me, don't make sense.Has to be the diesel because 30+ mpg on 35s in the gas engine has got to be impossible unless it’s downhill (or some major tuning work is done).
I’ve seen my instant mpg number hold 30-32 for a few stretches of flat road at 60-65 mph but I’m on the stock 32s.
I have not driven enough at a time on uninterrupted highway to get my average more than 21 mpg. I show 19.5 mpg average with mixed driving. I am interested to see when warmer weather comes round, with top off what a couple hundred miles will bring. Planning on a 3000 mile or so round trip out to mid west to visit Dad.I was able to get around 22mpg on a long road trip recently but I'm always around 19mpg mixed driving normally.
Hope you didn't just jinx me.The true question now is did you just jinx yourself, hopefully not
