If you’re doing the grill for coolant temperature reasons just get one of these instead. It’ll make a significant difference compared to what the 24 grill will do.

http://www.rpmextreme.com/Product/311/Jeep-JL-PWM-FAN-CONTROLLER.aspx

Why just use a Tazar that can turn the fan on high when needed and many other things for much less $$$
I use the TAZER to ramp up fan speed when I notice the temp higher than 200F. Slow double tap two buttons on the steering wheel then the fan ramps up then gradually slows down.

I really like the PWM controller option but wish the install was more Plug & Play friendly. Just the thought of cutting into the ECU harness makes my skin crawl.

It’s really not that bad unless you don’t normally mess with wiring things.

I bought the fan controller even though I already had the tazer because with the fan controller you can focus on driving and let it do the temperature control versus staring at your dash watching cooling temps when you should have your eyes on the road.

So "CAN BUS ONLY"? So one wire to plug into the CAN BUS. No splicing into the ECU.
CANBUS only but I had to tap wires in to several ECU wires and had to cut that one fan wire. I’ve done a lot of 12v wiring things in my days so it wasn’t so intimidating but it’s really not that hard to do even with very little experience. The instructions they provide look like a lot but it’s really pretty simple.

Anyone know if there's an adapter kit to mount a front camera from the older grill to the newer one? I've read that it's not directly plug and play.
There is a camera bracket 68566612AA youll need. I believe the wiring gets re-routed but the camera does work on the later style grille.

@AmosMoses Benny is spot on. You need the new bracket he listed, and then to reroute the wiring. The wiring in old grill goes down one of the solid bars, which the new style grille doesn’t have. What I did was use zip ties to run it along the top of the grille so it would be out of sight, then around and under the headlight to the bottom left corner. There is a connector there to disconnect the grille harness from the truck. I recommend disconnecting the harness there and do your wire routing with the grille laying on a table or bench. Then take the whole assembly over to the truck and install it. The washer hose runs down the A shaped grill brace, so it just stays there.

I got mine assembled and put on. Most every tab lined up well enough but I wasn't able to get every clip installed due to fitment issues, but most are in and it feels solid. Assembly was a bit of a pain in the ass for an old man like me. Tedious with all the clips and such but that was it.
I've got $425 in this, $175 for the grill+$250 paint. If I was to do it over again, I'd pay Distinction Applied the extra $100 or so for the aftermarket grill to get a painted & assembled grill delivered to my house.

Why as low as 200? That's nothing on a gas engine. The thermostat doesn't even open until in the upper 210s or 220s, depending on the engine. My 4.0 ran 215 almost all the time.
You may need to shorten oil change intervals running too cool.

I guess I still have trouble figuring out why the resistance to normal operating temps and some out there almost freak out at anything over 210

Hey everyone, I finally took the plunge and bought a takeoff 2024 grille, requires no paint since it’s bright white already, but doesn’t have the front camera cutout. Can anyone confirm what I need to make it work? From what I gathered it’s :

7HR05RXFAA texture grille
68566612AA camera bracket

Here is a pic of what I bought and have coming :

Any updates? Does the 7HR05RXFAA grille insert have the lock cutout?

Ordered mine from distinction applied today, will post up when it arrives. I really didn’t like the 24+ set up at first but it’s grown on me. Hopefully be the only gecko Mojave with one.

I wasn't sure at first either, but really like it now that I have it on.
