Had a quick browse and its not really talked about, at least recently. Looking to upgrade my pads and maybe rotors for a bit more bite. My trailer doesnt require brakes due to its gvwr and my Jeep has heavyish 35”, canopy, kids, winch bumper etc, so during trips I know Im maxed. Anyone have experience with hawk, ebc or powerstop on the JT?

I just recently put on a set of front powerstop rotors and pads. It made a huge difference in stopping distance with 35’s and a RTT.

Which ones did you go with? I wouldn’t say my truck is bad but anything helps.

I put bendix fleet metlock on the front of my JLU sport with the tiny brakes. It stops as good if not better than the big brakes of my Max Tow JT. Both have comparable tire diameters. Mindful that they are dirty pads but all good semi metallics are. I will be putting them on the JT when the time comes.

I went with the Z36 kit, I got them from summit. Use code “ fall” for 20 bucks off, plus powerstop has a $25 off Mail in rebate for October.

The Power Stop kit make a big difference in stopping power and they have a few different kits available.

Their basic kit is the Autospecialty, which is pretty much and OE type replacement kit with upgraded pads:

The middle package is their Z23 Evolution kit, which has drilled and slotted rotors and upgraded pads:

Their top shelf kit is the Z36 Truck and Tow kit, which has the drilled and slotted rotors and their Z36 ceramic pads and is perfect for those with bigger tires and/or do some heavy hauling and towing:
