Upgrading audio go with 5" or 7"?

hello all, I'm not in a gladiator yet, but I'm on the hunt. If I planned to upgrade the audio anyway should I just get the 5" with the hvac controls below the stereo or the 7" with the built in controls for the better dash? I've found a bunch of trucks in the color I want and options I want but they seem to all be 5" stereos...

7" is definitely better. But if i were you I'd get the 8.4" with Alpine. It's a really nice easy to use system, and if you're an audiophile like me the Alpine system is so much better than stock.

One of my conditions for purchasing was "anything but the five inch". One of my favorite features is the screen in the middle of the speedometer where you can see digital info about your truck, incline and decline, and there's a cool sweeping logo of an old willy's and a new gladiator. You don't get all the fancy pants stuff on the speedo if you go 5". I'm not super technologically savvy, but I do plan to upgrade my sound in the Jeep eventually. However I've been quite impressed by the system in mine with the 7 inch.

I purchased mine with the intention of upgrading, so the 5" was not a big deal. Then I found that there are not a lot of options for aftermarket head units. Make sure you find something before you make the decision. I upgraded this weekend to the Insane Audio unit and I like it so far. With the 5" it does not control the AC though.
