Actually the article is promoting someone trying to make a killing with that Hellcat transplant

Now don't get me wrong, I personally have an EAG bumper and Badland winch myself, but on a $140,000.00 truck? I don't think so. Must have spent all their money on the Hellcat.

As I understand it, $140K is the asking price for that thing

Exactly. If you're going to ask premium money, provide premium product. That being said, I have zero complaints with my bumper setup but I'm not asking 140Gs for my truck either.

Agreed... and those ripoff ARB 9.5" driving lights really add to the fact that someone built this as cheaply as possible to get the "look" to go along with the performance to maximize profit.

Original sticker price for that VIN: $50,025.00 Price for a AMW4x4 Hellcat swap: $58,850

In other words, I could go order this exact JT and pay sticker, have AMW do a Hellcat swap, spend $20k for lift/tires/katskinz leather/alpine restyle/bumper/winch/lights/chase rack etc. and still come out $10 less than the list price of a USED (albeit only 4k miles) Gladiator.

I realize that the original "sticker" price of $146,000 included someone doing all that work but its still way overpriced for the parts that they installed.

Some Lay Leno type guy will buy it put it in his garage, and will gladly pay the $10k fee for someone putting it together, and not give a shit if it’s a badlands wench or not. For someone dishing out $130k for only a 10k return, that’s not the best ROI in my opinion, and not that far of an asking price.

There’s a guy here locally that buys all kinds of trucks and suvs that are 1-5 years old, lifts them and then throws on nice wheels and big tires and marks them up an extra 5-7k. People buy them like hot cakes. Over a two week period his lot looks totally different... it’s crazy.

Also there are plenty of people thinking WE are the crazy ones for buying a Jeep truck for 40-60k, plus whatever we spend to mod them. It’s all about different perspectives, how much money you have and/or how frugal you are.

I get it, but with all the money spent why cheap out on the accessories? Profit margin must be really tight.

Probably profit margins and the fact of most guys willing to spend that upfront aren’t going to use the lights or wench, but be sitting in a climate controlled garage.... Lol
