It's interesting but with the 8.4 I'm not sure I would find much use in it. Apple car play works great and is able to display most apps that I would want. A friend of mine has this in his Gladiator, I sent him a message to get his opinion and will share with the group.

I have the Valenti mount installed. Have yet to use it for its intended purpose. They sell it at a very reasonable price compared to many other accessories. There's no Jeep tax on it yet so I thought why not.

It's spray painted by hand with Rustoleum. They didn't do a very good job. I plan to refinish it myself one of these days.

I placed soft loop velcro on the underside and bent the mounting tabs to force the mount to rest on the dash. The soft loop helps prevent vibration and scratches. By default, Valenti fabricated the mount to float in front of your factory screen. The only touch points were the two factory screws on top of the dash in the tray. This was not sufficient for my taste as the mount would vibrate and shake up and down a bit while driving. It's rock solid after adjusting it.

It might be useful one day if there is something special I want to display on the dash. I looked at it as a way to future proof in case the need arises. It's not terrible to look at and blends in well enough that I forget it's there.
