Voswitch JL300 Ignition Fuse Problem

I installed a Voswitch JL300 into my Jeep today, works awesome, and absolutely love it. I am having one issue tho. I decided to make it turn on and off with the ignition. As per the instructions I used the included fuse tap, removed the cigarette lighter fuse and placed the fuse tap into its spot. It works as intended with ignition, however now my cigarette lighter does not work. This doesn't seem right, I am sure that it wasn't intended to operate like that. I am not a automotive electrical person by any means, my friend installed it who is. However, we are both dumbfounded as to why this is happening. Wondering if anybody has any suggestion on a remedy for this issue or a different fuse that I can put the ignition fuse tap into.

I recall the fuse tap needing to be plugged into the fuse position in a specific direction. Might take a look at the instructions and the fuse tap. Also fyi www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW0QaQaU41Y
