With the engine OFF (Accessory mode works too), hold the power button down for approximately 3 seconds until the switch turns on. This is the programmable mode. To change the color, press the power button once, to raise the brightness, press switch #1 (Lightbar), to lower the brightness, press switch #4 (Aux 2). To save your settings, wait for the switch to power off on it's own, about 20 seconds.

On acc? Or off completely? Why would it turn off on its own? I’ll try it. Thanks. Also is the ground to the battery negative? Said you can do that or to the body. I’ve never grounded anything to the battery but i did with this.

It shuts off automatically when you're in program mode because the power button is used for the color setting, so you can't press it to save your changes. In normal operation, it will stay on, it's up to you to shut it off.

As for ACC, I mentioned that because the instructions only say engine off, plus I have mine set up so that it's only active on ignition, so I need to be in ACC to get power to the switch at all. I believe they mentioned specifically to AVOID grounding it to the body, and to only use the battery ground.
