It didn't rise for long. Highway average voltage settled back down to 12.8 - 12.9V cruising on the highway, with up to 14.6V when coasting down a hill. But today I got into a Jeep dealership and they checked the charging system. But first they performed a TSB on the 2021 Jeep Gladiator charging system, reprogramming the PCM. Then they checked battery(s), charging circuit, and alternator. Everything was fine, and the tech said it's normal to be at 12.8V. I can only guess that part of the TSB reprogram was to tell the telematics not to freak out that the highway voltage is not low if it's not sitting at 13.8V all the time like all Jeeps used to sit at.
[EDIT] And a few days later I get another email saying to check the charging system right after Prestige Jeep in Longmont Colorado just did all that. So I'll just ignore the emails until I get a battery icon show up while driving, or if the driving voltage shows below 12.5V on the highway. Just did cross a few mountain passes today (35-45mph while towing... never overheating). So that's a common condition when the telematics email gets sent, FWIW.
