Guys and Gals many of us are watching the weight of the aftermarket accessories that we add to our Gladiators. And it would seem common practice across, at least, the US and Australia that the majority of manufacturers don't include the actual weights of their accessories in the specs listed on their websites. Somewhat lacking if you ask me.
At the moment I am looking at options of aftermarket front bumpers or, as we Aussies call them, Bullbars. The weight is my primary consideration. And, I am even investigating the potential of building one myself.
Forums are great for sharing experiences and info. hence Id volunteer to write up, and maintain a spreadsheet of accessory brand, make , model and weights in exel spreadsheet to be posted up here for everyone's assistance if people think that would help.
All I need is the mods approval to do so and Gladiator owners to message me the details of different products and Ill make the spreadsheet, and keep it up to date.
And I would be happy to include everything in it under different categories and sub ctergories. I'll include Brand, Model Name Number, Part Numbers, links to manufacturers website weight and genral notes and or comments from the member that passed on the info. We can take this as large as as the members want it..
Bullbars, Rear Bars, Wheels, Tyres, Suspension Components, Driving Lights, LED Bars, Mounting Brackets, Snorkels, Dual Battery Systems and Components, etc.
If everyone is good on this PM me the info and Ill get to it . It just has to be accurate. And include info like if you removed the factory bumper how much that weighed etc. Mods just let me know where it would be best uploaded to.
I am happy to do this because their is something special about Jeep owners. They arent critical of other brands but they stick together and help each other out.
