Altho boring i always see the rubicon rails taking a beating and holding up well. since i already have 2 sets (opps) why spend a grand on step sliders when i already have sliders that work well.

Found a couple companies and i found one thread but the company they were talking about already closed

Mike instead of buying sliders for my gladiator rubicon I just had some old 1 7/8ā€ pipe lying around bent them and welded to the factory sliders works great.

I had a local fabricator quote me about $600 to add on to my factory rails what would look like rock hard patriot sliders with 1Ā¾x.120 tubing.

You can get an inexpensive benders at Harbor Freight, I also donā€™t have dimple dies but I used a cut off wheel to make the angles a bit slower but can be done

ya they have pipe benders i would rather make steps out of tube (ID vs OD) and yes i know they will work

dimple dips make the tapered holes to add strength to the sheet metal with a press

after i but a couple hundred in tools buy the steel and don't fuck it up the first go i would rather just but some pre bent stuff thats why i was asking if anyone has tried any of the prebuilt kits and welded them on

May can show some pics to a local fabricator and have them built. The guy re attaching mine built them in about 2 hours for me for I think 300.00.

If you donā€™t have a bender get a couple elbows and weld them on. I did a 90 in the back and a 45 in the front.
