while true, the JT should be far less squirelly than the JL on the highway and towing....But to make the brakeover angle worse for a better departure angle while losing the spare, ect, would be foolish.it must a new "old saying" because it is new to me and I am pushing 50 years old. But the thought behind it is sound since we all know short wheelbase is squirrelly on the highway and while towing.
You move something 2", everything else must move. I'm sure they maximized all their variables. This isn't a YUGO we're talking about.
