It’s been 1600km (1000 miles) since I did my oil change and emptied my collection of oil from the catch can which was 250 ml in 5000 kms. I kinda forgot about the can and figured I’d open it up and have a peek and pour it off.
Im on par for another 225-250ml oil collection for my regular 5000km oil change.
I can say, I’m sure happy I’m not burning it. Makes me wonder if a catch can could solve “some” of those that experience that puff of smoke at first cold start up. I know there can be other reasons for that but eliminating this blowby oil at the can is a good start I’m thinking.
