Tightened the emergency/parking brake cables. Wow. They were loose. Works great now. Blew out the reusable Corsa air filter. REALLY glad I did. A critter had squirreled away a bunch of nest material below the filter. Nothing got past the filter, and they didn’t chew any wires, or the filter. Lucky timing. The picture next to my foot is the debris. Yuck. Can’t wait to get this thing into a garage someday. And added some air to the tires as it’s finally getting colder out. They were a few pounds low.

WOW that's a bigger nest than I thought it would be. Glad you found it and that it didn't cause any issues. We had some cooler nights over the past week also so I had to add a few pounds of air myself. That time of year.

I think I got pretty lucky to catch it. It was invisible until I pulled the filter.

Yea I agree you got lucky. Now I'm gonna have to check mine tomorrow just for peace of mind.
Yeah. Now I’m going to check it at least every oil change. Since it’s such a long term filter, I wasn’t checking it often.

Good idea. I have not checked mine since I bought the truck. Just changed the oil and rotated tires a couple of weeks ago so I will do the same and check mine when I change the oil. Might as well do it then since I am already under the hood adding oil and looking things over.

I got sick of waiting for the second Kansas badge, which is on back order. So I put the New Hampshire badge, and one of the two Kansas badges on. They’d been burning a hole in my glove box. 35 badges thus far. My goal is still to get all of them, on this Jeep. If by some miracle that actually happens, I hope lots of you are at the party when the last one goes on.

You keep the truck outside, no garage?

Also, you did Jericho park in NH? Wow, that’s a road trip!

Our current house, which is for sale, is in an amazing location (185’ of blue river frontage), but it’s a one car garage. It fits my tools, but not cars. As soon as it sells, we’re getting a garage that fits it.

I did Jericho with the kids in August. Beautiful. We had road tripped to NY to see my siblings and their cousins. I was so close, I had to go do it.

Here are a few pictures from Jericho. It was raining, and so green.

Ha, that’s a bummer. I’d hate to go back to parking outside, especially in the winter! River frontage, aw man. Sounds terrific.

yeah, Jericho is only like 4 hours from me. I’m actually gonna take my son there next spring with our dirt bikes to ride. We spend lots of time actually up in NH skiing, camping , etc…. also Maine. Closest we have here on the East coast to anything kinda resembling CO.

It was my first time in NH. Pretty cool area of the country. I have close to zero northeast knowledge, other than family in New York. Next time I’m out that way, I need to do a better job reaching out to do some trails with you guys.

Hopefully you went thru Franconia notch on your way there. So scenic thru there.

No idea. I was an hour north of Albany at my sisters place. I just mapped it and went direct. But took the kids to Niagara on the way back the next day. It was their reward for doing the trail with me, and the 8 hours out of the way. :)

I need to plan an east coast badge trip. I still need PA, SC, Georgia, NC, VA. I’ve done AL, FL, AR, on previous trips. It’s so many miles that I’d like to get all five of those states in a single trip. Tough to be gone that long with a family though.
