I don’t spray water right on the computers, but it’s fine. They’re designed to be pretty water proof. I’ve done it on countless vehicles.
So you’d just spray in directly on valve covers? No concerns about getting any under the coils? I’m not arguing. Genuinely asking. I’d really like to be able to keep mine cleaner under the hood.

Look, people will probably say that you should do it, so I can’t say yeah no problem go nuts. BUT I’ve done exactly that for years on countless vehicles. I suppose if you had a bad seal and were really liberal with the degreaser and water it could cause an issue.

Knowing whether there is a leak is my problem. I replaced the leaking seals ages ago, but the oil slick is still there covered in dirt. So tough to know if it returned without cleaning. If it was any other area, I’d just use 500 paper towels until it was clean enough to monitor for a couple months. But no room for that in there.

Retired. Finally !!
Yesterday, I put some Mopar Grab Handles on the rear. Now I have them front and rear. I didn't really need them, but my wife and mother-in-law do. I decided to go Mopar instead of aftermarket for a couple reasons; I'm an OEM-look kinda guy and the aftermarket ones I was seeing were Velcro wrap-around types and the handles hung down WAY too low. I know myself; if those handles tapped the side of my head each time I got in and out, it would drive me bat-crap crazy. The OEM handles ride high, if I thump them, well, I was going to knock my noggin on the roll bar anyways.... My wife's first comment ? "Oh, they have little Jeep grills on them. Cute !!". Yeah, that was my goal; more cuteness...

Even though the metal mounting brackets are coated in rubber, I put some self-adhesive rubber strips cut slightly wider than the bracket on the roll bar itself to further protect the roll bar paint.

I will eventually get side steps, but the choices are too large. Until I decide, these are a cost effective temporary solution. I'm leaning towards these, but they are pricey buggers. I could go standard hard mount steps, but most of them are downright ugly, too bulky and give the appearance of my 10th grade metal shop projects.

Sure, there are cheaper options out there, but most use magnets glued to the door, the opposing magnet swtich (with wire) gets glued on the door frame, wire tucked, etc.. Again, not too OEM looking...

Got my replacement set of side markers. Hopefully these are more durable than the last set. Diode Dynamics were excellent to work with. I was going to leave them without the covers, but figured the circuitry would get fried without a lens.

Forget about your Jeep, I'm envious in the size and amount of room in your garage !!
Haha it’s one of the reasons we bought this house. It enables my poor decision making habits with vehicles.

Beautiful! The pic in the garage looks like she's saying "I have a nice place to lay in the house!" :CWL:
I'll bet she gets anything she wants with those looks!

Been slowly tackling a 60k mile service and some upgrades as time permits. Was able to get through engine and cabin air filters, rear diff fluid change with Metalcloak diff skid install, and Redarc trailer brake controller install today. Still got front diff oil w/skid plate, transfer case oil, engine oil, and brakes to go. Always have to justify a new tool when working on your vehicle, so I got a borescope to check some stuff out on the engine (and find kids toys under the couch) :)
