Do you remember what size receiver tube and press did you used? I'm looking to buy a set.
hello i bought the basic harbor freight kit. the add on kit is not necessary for a gladiator. regrettably it now sells for $90 but hf continually has "sales" or coupons. just an alternative idea.

Had LINE>X spray-in undercoating done yesterday on a flawless (currently rust free) undercarriage on my 3 month old Gladiator. Picking it up this afternoon. A friend with a 2020 JT recommended after he had his done when he bought his new. I didn't want to live with a fluid film annual requirement, and I had this done to my Tacoma in 2012. That truck lived 100 feet from Chesapeake Bay and on Atlantic shoreline, outside, for 12 years and the frame never rusted. Most guys living on the VA coast with a Tacoma of that age had already had their frames replaced, under warranty, by Toyota due to corrosion from road or sea salt intrusion. $500 + tax.

Because I'm a cheap prick, a couple cans of Fluid Film and done for under $50.

Only down side was I had to clean that shit up off from my garage floor when I was done. Too many beers before it, so I didn't thing to cover the floor with something

Yeah.........it's all taxes here in MD.......fuck that, they get enough out of my checks. Joined LA Fitness and getting at it. That's at least $200 I've saved in the first week of 2025..... probably more since I like to party lol.

Yeah been a lazy dick since I retired.........2025 is not a resolution but mantra........ Discipline, like my 20 years in the Army.

I quit smoking Dec 31, 2001 when cigs were $1.79. I see prices now and I'm like why the fuck does anyone still smoke? It's insane. For as much as cigs are now it's more cost effective to smoke crack or weed or meth. Any of those are a better value. 😀

When I quit smoking they were a $1 a pack. That was my limit. I wasn't willing to pay a buck a pack.

A friend has been a fluid film fan for years. My last truck came undercoated and I was very pleased with the 13 years of abuse and I didn’t have to rinse and repeat thru the years.

Yeah the real trick with undercoating is hitting the vehicle while it's new so you're not encapsulating rust. I'm originally from Maine so I'm well versed with the rust shit.

The Jeep lives 6 months on the Florida coast and 6 months on the southern Maine coast. I had the undercoating done soon after purchase while it was clean and sans corrosion.

If you do have some corrosion, Rustoleum Rust Reformer is the ticket. I used it on my JK when it was probably 7 or 8 years old and then began using Fluid Film a few years after that. The frame and underbody looked new when I sold it last year, in spite of salty winters and lots of off-roading. It was 17 years old and had 196,000 miles on it. No body rust, either.

Every Fall, I hit any rust spots, which are usually very tiny, with Rust Reformer. Then every other year I hit the inside of the frame and certain underbody areas with Fluid Film.
