So has anyone actually done anything TO their Gladiator?

Mine's covered in dusty green tree pollen and fuzzy oak tree jizz. I hate this time of year down here. Temps are nice, but the trees are making a mess of everything. We don't have nice autumn leaves changing colors and dropping gently into yards. We have spring time pollen terrorism.

I measured it to see how many things I had to move in my shop after the Javelin comes out so I can put the JT in to start stripping it.
Does that count? I thought that car was really LONG with that long danged nose but the JT has it beat by a lot.

FWIW I think we're all doing a pretty nice job of keeping this civil....except for the post telling me to point the gun at myself. That was just stupid. The rest is pretty good!

Yeah mine is covered in dust and sand. I don't miss Texas in the Spring at all.

100% correct. The difference is they took action against the root cause of the lethality of the events. Of course mental health (or lack of it) plays a part in this but not all mentally unhealthy people resort to mass murder with an instrument meant to inflict multiple casualties, quickly. The instrument in question is as much to blame for that as the person wielding it. Ignoring that part of the equation is ignoring part of the problem.

I've been reading all this, and I hope I've kept the players straight. Aren't you the former LEO that said using a gun to defend yourself was a fantasy? If it was someone else, then I am sorry and I defer this post to them.
It sounds like you are saying people should not purchase a gun for self defense. If that is the case, then what do you suggest they use for self defense of themselves or their family? I don't think bringing a knife to a gun fight is going to work. Or a lead pipe, or anything else but a gun. Calling 911 won't work. Even if you managed to get them on the phone in time, when they got there 20 minutes later it would already be over with. Or, are you recommending that we do nothing to defend ourselves or our family. And that we should just stand there while our family is murdered.

You've told us what you don't think will work. Tell us what will work. I don't know that anything will work with certainty. Instead of stricter gun laws I would favor stricter penalties for breaking and entering, stealing, and all violence related crimes. Literally throw the book at those low lifes.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to blame gun violence on mental health. Do you really think mental health problems are only in this country? Please look at Australia. They had terrible gun violence for a very long time, mimicking what we have here. They changed gun laws and the problem has all but disappeared. But they continue to have plenty of mental health crisis, just like every single country on this planet.
