Quadratop SkyLite a.k.a. Putco Element Sky View panoramic top. Mixed bag reviews and did a 50 mile loop to see if I was going to post it here or in the classified section. Did a touchless carwash along the way and no leaks. I'd never shed my Freedom panels and have just a tick over 5K miles on the odo so that may factor into my, so far, positive experience. A bit of additional road and wind noise versus the OEM headliner panels but nothing obnoxious. Weird weather here right now so won't really know what my opinion is going to be until I get some triple digit sunny days.

I promise you the factory "headliner" wasnt contributing to sound deadening.

The seals in those plugs dry out over time, so using a little dielectric grease is a good idea also.

I'm chasing an intermittent light as well. Harness has been repaired once already by the dealership, but now its out of warranty and I don't feel like paying their inflated shop rates for sub-par work.
My guy said unwrap the wires up past 2 Christmas trees to check for cracks and breaks. So I did anyways after immediately finding the clip wasn't locked

Retired. Finally !!
Well, since I'm a newbie with my GMRS license, I had to add a mobile radio to my Jeep. I decided to go with the Midland MXT 275 Jeep branded model. Top of the line ? Hardly. Will it serve my needs ? Most definitely. The cowl bracket for the antenna should be here tomorrow, I'll just plug it into my Jackery and play with it for a while before I mount it up. I went outside with the magnet antenna only to learn there isn't a whole lotta steel on this Jeep !! Lots of plastic and aluminum.

Yeah you’ll have to get creative with the magnetic antenna mount. This is a radio I’ve considered too. Not sure I really “need” the 575 other than for some cool points. I’d like to mount one of the bull bar type antennas on the side of the cowl though.

Hah, hah. That’s the radio I’m looking at too. 😂 Then a little mouthing bracket to put it down by the windshield cowl as I already figured there isn’t much steel on Gladys.

I was trying to locate a magnetic flashlight the other day and cracked myself up at how many times I tried “sticking it on” the Jeep before it actually took hold.

Took my Gladiator to my dealerships body shop to see if they could powder coat my sliders (rusted bad after 3 years)

He looked the body over and pointed out several places on the doors, tailgate, hinges… where aluminum meets the steel and explained that it needed repainted.

So he gave me a loaner car, kept it a week, installed new hinges, removed doors fixed and repainted all the bad surfaces & I picked it up last Friday.

Jeep will make the repairs free of charge if within the 5 year paint warranty or you pay 20% if in 6th year of in service

Gave er a good wash today. TWICE!! Hit it with some dawn power wash to try and strip the wax from the bed cap then used my regular meguires wash and wax. Dawn power wash didn’t do the trick. Then I remembered I had some cerakote packets in the garage so figured I’d do the cowl for the time being. By the time I was done I’d covered the cowl, door handles, hood latches, tailgate handle, plastic oem bumper, mirrors, and radio antenna mount. No sickness here I promise.

Installed the Hotheads, Blue Ridge Overland attic and installed the pew pew holder and a couple items on the Desert Does It molle panel.

Hotheads went in easily. I did loosen the top and somehow managed to lose a freaking bolt. I'll be taking the back apart tomorrow for my auxiliary wiring project likely so hopefully i'll find it.

The Blue Ridge has to be done when the top is loose so i figured i'd do them both at the same time. Threw my rain coat up there and the pup's door protectors. 4
